THE TOOL IS THE API

Whatever you extract above, you can run from your code

The box above calls the same extract endpoint your code would: one POST with the URL, and with a key, the selectors you name.
Automate this with the API
curl -X POST "https://opengraph.io/api/3.0/extract?app_id=YOUR_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
  "site": "https://example.com"
}'

Fields, not a document to parse

Name the parts of a page you care about and get them back as JSON, so your code reads values instead of walking a DOM.
selectors
Named fields as JSON
Map price to .price and title to h1, and the response comes back keyed by your names.
type: attr
Attributes, not just text
Pull href, src or any data attribute, so links and images come back as usable URLs.
multiple: true
Every match, or just the first
Collect every product on a listing page, or only the first headline, per selector.
html_elements
Readable text in one string
Join the tags you choose into one block of text, ready for search, summaries or an LLM.
auto_render
Pages that need JavaScript
Client side pages are detected and rendered in a real browser, so selectors find real content.
auto_proxy
Hosts that block you
Requests that hit a block are retried through a proxy pool, so your job keeps running.

Questions devs actually ask

Still stuck? The docs have runnable examples for every parameter.

Is the free tool really free, with no account?

Yes: one free extraction, no signup. After that, a free API key gives you 100 credits a month, CSS selectors and the full result through the same endpoint.

What is a credit, exactly?

A plain extraction is 1. A page that needs browser rendering is 11. Proxy tiers add 10 to 30 depending on the host. Cache hits are always 1.

What does html_elements change?

It sets which tags are joined into the extracted text. The default is the title, headings and paragraphs; add li or blockquote, or drop the headings, to suit your page.

How do CSS selectors work here?

Each selector gets a name you choose, like price, and a CSS selector, like .price. The response returns a JSON object keyed by your names, with text or an attribute such as href.

Why did a selector come back empty?

The element may be added by JavaScript after load, or named differently than it looks. Rendering is automatic with a key, and the scraping tool shows you the real HTML.

Extract one page above. Then every page you track.

100 credits a month, free, no card. Paid plans start at $25 when you outgrow it.
